The feed pellet conditioner is a vital device in the pelleting process, primarily using steam to condition raw materials before entering the pellet mill. By ensuring full contact between steam and feed powder, it significantly improves feed cooking quality, palatability, and nutrient digestibility, while enhancing pellet hardness and water stability. Single, double, or triple-layer conditioners are available to meet various production requirements for poultry, livestock, and aquatic feed.

Before reaching the pellet mill, raw materials pass through the conditioner, where steam is injected and thoroughly mixed with the feed. As paddles continuously stir the material, heat is evenly distributed, leading to gradual cooking. During this process, proteins denature, starches gelatinize, and fibers soften, resulting in higher pellet durability, better formation rate, and improved feed palatability.
