The counterflow cooler is an essential device in the feed pelleting process, designed to rapidly cool down hot and moist pellets to near-ambient temperature. By applying the counterflow principle, cool air moves opposite to the direction of pellet flow, ensuring uniform cooling while preventing surface cracking or internal re-moistening. With its robust structure and reliable performance, it is widely used in poultry, livestock, and aquatic feed production lines.

Hot pellets enter the cooler from the top, while cool air flows upward from the bottom, passing through the pellet bed. This counterflow contact ensures gradual and uniform cooling, minimizing temperature differences and avoiding issues such as surface cracking or internal heat retention. Finally, pellets are discharged automatically through the unloading mechanism for further processing.
